A day in... Las Vegas, USA

Morning

Start your day off nice and early, 5.00am start but it will be worth it, trust me! Head off for a hike in the Valley of Fire - now this is important, make sure you go with a reputable guide as it is extremely easy to get lost. I can recommend a few. The massive red sandstone formations make it feel like you are on Mars and with 2000 year old petroglyphs carved into the sandstone, it really is a spectacular place to visit.

Be sure to bring some water and a snack!

Afternoon

You'll be ready for something tasty after your hike so why not head over to the Proper Eats Food Hall at ARIA Resort where you will have a choice of everything from burgers to ramen. A personal favourite is Egghead; they do egg filled buns and the best hash browns!

Once you're done here it would be rude not to explore the surrounding casinos. With the endless shops, there really is something for everyone here.

Remember that the Monorail runs from the MGM Grand to the Sahara. The strip itself is huge so the monorail is a great way to get around and you can buy unlimited ride passes.

Evening

Now it's time to enjoy the light show! This was one of my favourite things about Vegas, the crazy hotel lights that illuminate the strip after dark. You will be spoilt for choice for dinner options but Roy Choi's Best Friend at Park MGM is a must for any Asian fusion food fans. If you fancy something a little more French bistro style then Mon Ami Gabi is also a great option and if you manage to get a table on the terrace then you can watch the fountain show at the Bellagio opposite!

Now you cannot go to Vegas and not induldge in a little gambling, Roulette is a great game for first timers and really fun. You just pick numbers and colours!

Finish your evening with a night time ride on the High Roller and enjoy the amazing views from 550ft above the strip. I'm afraid of heights but this was incredible!
